This sounds interesting, to say the least.
Do you have more details on "replacements"? What are they? I've heard
of the Mark IV to Mark VIe Migration; and they re-use the plug-in
portion of the Mark IV terminal boards and field wires and Mark IV
control panel enclosure, and put Mark VIe components inside the
enclosure. No need to determinate wires or remove the old enclosure
and install a new control panel and enclosure and then reterminate
field wires. Sounds very appealing for Mark IV-equipped units.
But the Mark II terminal boards aren't two-piece like the Mark IV
terminal boards were, at least not the ones I've seen. They're going
to have to determinate those field wires and then reterminate them.
It sure would be nice if we knew what "replacements" were, and other
details you could spare. But thanks for the heads-up!
